YLP Rao, Principal Chief Conservator of Forest and Head of Forest Force (HoFF), Maharashtra Forest Department, released a recruitment notice for filling 2,138 posts of Forest Guards (Group C) in the Department. The recruitment drive will be conducted to directly appoint Forest Guards in service. Candidates who have passed Class 12 in Science or Geography or Economics or Mathematics subjects will be eligible for the post of Forest Guard. Candidates under the Scheduled Tribe (ST) category can apply for the post on the basis of Class 10 pass certificate. Similarly, ex-servicemen who have Class 10 certificate can also apply for the post. Candidates must know to write, read and speak Marathi language.
The application process will start on June 10. The last date for submitting the application online is June 30. The appointed Forest Guards will get the pay scale of Rs 21,700 - Rs 69,100 plus various allowances as per the 7th Pay Commission.
