Sharwari clinches triple crowns

 

 

Sharwari Khobragade claimed triple crowns while Purvi Kaur Renu and Sarth Shatri clinched twin titles in the table tennis tournament organised by Maharajbagh Club at University Sports Complex Table Tennis Hall, Amravati Road on Friday. Sharwari won the titles in Under-15, Under-17 and women’s categories. Purvi won the Under-11 girls crown defeating Kevika Nandeshwar 11-05, 11-04, 12-10. Then in the Under-13 final she got the better of same opponent 11-06, 11-06, 11-05. Sarth lifted the Under-13 boys crown defeating Purabsingh Renu 11-08, 12-10, 10-12, 11-05, 11-09. He then added another feather to his cap by winning the Under-15 title. In the final, he beat same rival 07-11, 11-04, 12-10, 04-11, 11-07.

 

Sharwari Khobragade defeated Anvesha Kashyap in three finals. In U-15 category she won the battle 11-04, 11-13, 08-11, 11-07, 11-09. In the U-17 final, she won the battle 09-11, 11-00, 11-03, 12-10 and in the women’s final, she continued her supremacy with an 11-07, 11-05, 11-06, 09-11, 11-05 verdict. The prizes were distributed by Ashutosh Potnis, Secretary, Nagpur District Table Tennis Association. M P Kamble, Vijay Naik, Vasant Daxinkar, P Pathak, YM Choudhary, CJ Radhakrishnan, Deepak Kanetkar were also present on the occasion.

Under-17: Arinjay Kolarkar bt Angh Bhondwe 16-14, 07-11, 11-13, 11-06, 13-11, 13-11. Under-19 Girls: Dnyaneshwari Patharkar bt Sharvari Khobragade 07-11, 07-11, 03-11, 11-06, 11-04, 11-08, 11-08. Under-19 Boys : Tejas Wasnikar bt Purabsingh Renu 11-06, 11-07, 11-06, 11-07. Women’s: Sharwari Khobragade bt Anvesha Kashyap 11-07, 11-05, 11-06, 09-11, 11-05. Men’s: Jayesh Kulkarni bt Tejas Wasnikar 11-06, 11-06, 13-11, 11-13, 11-09.
