A constant delay in start of process for admissions to professional courses like engineering, pharmacy and others, has affected the registration process, resulting in extension of the date. Finally, Maharashtra’s Common Entrance Test (CET) Cell has announced the complete programme including schedule for option forms submission bringing respite for students and colleges. Now, the submission of option forms for Centralised Admission Process (CAP) Round-1 for the admissions to Bachelor of Engineering, First Year will start from July 20. The process will continue till July 22.
As per the schedule, the provisional allotment will be displayed on July 25.
Accepting to the offered seat by candidate through his/her logins per Allotment of CAP Round-I will be done between July 26 and July 27. Candidates who have been allotted the seat as per their first preference in Round-I (auto freezed) shall pay the seat acceptance fee by on-line mode through their login and such candidates shall not be eligible for participation in subsequent rounds. Candidates who have allotted other than first preference and self-freezed their allotment in Round-I through their login must accept the seat and shall pay seat acceptance fees through on-line mode. Such candidates shall not be eligible for participation in subsequent rounds. Candidates who have allotted other than first preference and want betterment in the subsequent rounds must claim the allotted seat in Round-I by accepting that seat by choosing Not Freeze option for betterment and shall pay the seat acceptance fee through their login by on-line mode. Reporting to the Allotted Institute and Confirmation of Admission by submitting required documents and payment of fee after CAP Round I will be done from July 26 to July 28.
APTI intervenes, BPharm admission process starts
The process of admissions to BPharm First Year courses, too, was delayed by CET Cell. Taking cognisance of students’ sufferings, Association of Pharmaceutical Teachers of India (APTI) President Dr Milind Umekar wrote a letter to Higher and Technical Education Minister Chandrakant Patil to look into it. Responding to the grievances placed by Dr Umekar, finally, the Minister asked the CET Cell to announce the admission process.
