Scores of candidates selected in MP patwari recruitment exams from across the State, gathered at Neelam Park on Monday to stage protest against the ban on appointment. While staging dharna, they were demanding their appointment showing placards written What is our fault? Give appointment till August 15 to relieve them from mental pain, candidates demanded.

 

The issue came to the fore around a couple of days back, when Madhya Pradesh Employees Selection Board released the result of the recruitment examination. After this controversy erupted over the exam results after it was revealed that seven of the top 10 candidates on the merit list had taken the online recruitment test at the same college in Gwalior. In all, 114 of the selected candidates were from this exam centre. The college is run by an MLA.
