Young dreams snuffed out on road to Pune

A PERSON is often an amalgam of dreams, hopes, aspirations not just his own but others as well. The gruesome accident near Sindkhedraja which put an end to 25 lives has left many, many unconsolable people mourning the loss of their dear ones. Wardha city was numb with shock. Of the 14 passengers that boarded the bus only one survived. Many of those who breathed their last in the ghastly accident were heading to Pune for fulfilling dreams. Some were pursuing careers, some going for education, some for jobs. Most were young lives snuffed out before they could see the big world.
 
VANKAR FAMILY’S three generations perished in the inferno. Vrishali Parineet Vankar, Shobha Vankar and Vaishali’s 2- year-old adopted daughter Ovi did not survive the accident. The family from Chandrapur had come to Wardha for a wedding.
 
AVANTIKA PAUNIKAR,a model by profession was on her way to Pune. She had cancelled her plans to go abroad to take care of ailing mother and sister.
 
RADHIKA MAHESH KHADSE , a resident of Sainagar, Wardha, was BPharm graduate was pursuing further studies in Pune and had come to attend a wedding.
 
TEJAS POKALE, an IT engineer from Krishnanagar, had recently got a job in Pune and was on his way to join the company. A bright student for childhood,Tejas was the jope of Pokale family and a role model for younger sister, also pursuing engineering. The accident snapped all dreams.
 
KARAN BUDHBAVRE, of Zadshi, was to reach Pune on‘Guru Poornima’ to bring hir sister back for the first time after her recent wedding. He has now left the family completely broken-hearted.
 
SHREYA VANJARI AND RADHIKA KHADSE, both roommates, pursuing careers in Pune, were heading there together.
 
PRATHAMESH KHODE, of Sahyog Nagar area, had gone to cancel his ticket to Pune where he was heading to meet friends already there. He was cancelling his plan to host another friend but at the last moment decided against cancelling the ticket and continued with his journey. He had even returned home to take his headphones. If only he had cancelled his plan!
 
SUSHIL DINKAR KHELKAR,all but 23, a resident Paonar, was on his way to Pune to collect documents from his college for the job he had secured in Mumbai. The only son of a grocer, Sunil’s journey turned out to be his last.
 
RAJSHREE GANDOLE (47), a promoter of herbal life products from Arvi, was staying with her relatives in Wardha and was on her way to meet her husband.
 
SANJIVANI GOTHE, a computer engineer, who hailed from Allipur of Hinganghat taluka, had just received appointment letter from Excel Company and was to join on Saturday, July 1. Daughter of Sankarrao Gothe of LIC, she had bid her family farewell with great hopes. Needless to say, she leaves her family in unconsolable grief.
 
TANISHA PRASHANT TAIYDE of Pulpaial, Wardha, had got admission in Fergusson College, Pune. She had lost her father and was recovering from that grief.

July 1 OF THE five people who boarded the ill-fated bus from Yavatmal, Sujal Sonone of the city and Nikhil Vasant Pate of Gandari in Babhulgaon taluka fell victim of the bus inferno. Both were heading to Pune in search of job. Sujal had just completed engineering and was looking for openings in Pune, while Nikhil, who hailed from poor family was desperately looking for means to support his family and was on his way to Pune for job. Fortunately, driver of the bus, Sheikh Danish Sheikh Ismail, a resident of Darwa, Cleaner Sandeep Maroti Rathod, a resident ofTivasav. Passenger Shishikant Ramakrishna Gajbhiye, , a resident of Pandharkawda, had a narrow escape as he was pulled out of the burning bus in time.
