Six thieves, including juvenile, held in two cases, booty worth Rs 8L seized

 

 

Adhartal and Bhedaghat police have succeeded in apprehending six thieves, including a juvenile, involved in two theft cases and retrieved gold, silver jewellery and an activa scooter worth Rs 8 lakh from them. The arrested have been identified at Adhartal police station include Rohit Kol (19), son of Kishan Kol, resident of Kudwari village (booked in 10 cases of attempting murder, loot, bomb hurling, Balwa, attack and arms act), Sumit Dahia (29), son of Biharilal, resident of Gohalpur (booked in 6 cases of theft and stabbing), Shivam Kushwaha (30), son of Ganesh Kushwaha of Narmada Nagar, Gohalpur (booked in 3 cases of murder, arms act and attack), Anil Sen (19), son of Rajkumar Sen, resident of Basti No-2, Gohalpur and 17-year old boy (booked in 2 crime cases) while Bhedaghat police nabbed Deepak alias Shivam Patel (21), son of Kaluram Patel, resident of Sahdan village in Patan.

 

Superintendent of Police, Tushar Kant Vidyarthi (IPS) informed this while addressing a press conference, on Wednesday. He informed that investigating a theft case in Adhartal reported on June 28, police received information about some suspects standing near Hanuman Mandir near Kudwari and talking about distribution of stolen commodities amongst them. Acting promptly on the information, police started a search and trapped the five suspects from the spot. In the interrogation, the accused broke out and confessed the theft at residence of Shriram Singh Thakur at Maitri Nagar in Maharajpur. On their identification, police retrieved a gold necklace, a Mangalsutra, 4 gold broad bangles, 1 gold tops, 1 gold ring, 4 pairs of anklets, other silver jewellery, a camera and cash of Rs 1600 from them while an stolen activa scooter numbered MP-20SL-4512 was also seized from them. Similarly, investigation the theft case at residence of Shukkar Prasad Chouhan reported at Bhedaghat on July 17, police nabbed the accused on the basis of CCTV footages named Deepak alias Shivam Patel and seized 4 gold bangles and a gold chain amounting to Rs 2 lakh from him.
