An unidentified bike-borne miscreant targeted a woman pedestrian and snatched her gold chain worth over Rs 32,000 said police. The victim’s husband was walking behind her when the incident occurred around 3 pm, on Sunday. Police said that victim Pinki Chouhan (21) is a resident of Laukhedi. She was heading towards Aditya Avenue near Data Colony with her husband to meet their friends. The woman’s husband stopped to talk to someone while woman was still walking. She said that a bike suddenly stopped near her and the accused lay his hand on her chain. Before, she could understand anything he had snatched it and fled. Her husband tried to chase the accused but in vain.

 

The couple then reached police station and lodged a complaint. The Kohefiza police booked the accused and launched a search for him. Sub Inspector (SI) Mahendra Tripathi said that there was one person on the bike. He said that accused was wearing a skull cap and had not covered his face. The cops have released the footage of the biker who is on the run.
