Dr Niteen Patil is new MAFSU Vice-Chancellor

Dr Niteen Vasant Patil has been chosen as the new Vice-Chancellor of Maharashtra Animal and Fishery Sciences University (MAFSU), which has its headquarters in the city. Dr Patil is presently serving as Principal Scientist (Animal Nutrition), Division of Livestock Production and Range Management, ICAR-Central Arid Zone Research Institute, Jodhpur, Rajasthan.
 
The appointment was made by Governor Ramesh Bais for a term of five years from the date he assumes the charge of the office of Vice Chancellor, or till he attains the age of 65, whichever is earlier. Dr Patil obtained his M.V.Sc. in Animal Nutrition from PDKV Akola and took PhD from the National Dairy Research Institute, Karnal. Dr Patil succeeds Dr Ashish Paturkar, whose term ended on January 21, 2023. PDKV, Akola, Vice-Chancellor Dr Sharad Gadakh was holding the additional charge of the post till now.
