RIDING on a brace from Nikhilesh Patil, Rajni Vihar Football Club drubbed Tajbag Club 3-0 in their opening match of the Dhabe Memorial Slum Soccer Tournament that got under way at Imamwada Kasturba Library ground on Saturday. In the tournament opener, Patil recorded his name on the scoresheet in the 9th minute. Rakshit Fulmali scored team’s second goal in the 13 minute. Patil scored his second and team’s third goal in 16th minute of play. Tajbag tried their best but could not reduce the margin. In other matches, Dhantoli FC beat Nandanwan FC 2-0 with both the goals coming from striker Nikhilesh Pedekar.

 

The goals were scored in 9th and 14th minutes of play. Wahid Ansari found back of the net in just second minute of play to put Chunabhatti FC 1-0 ahead against Medical Square FC. He slotted home another in the 15th minute as Chunabhatti completed a 2-0 win. Other participating teams are Indra Nagar, Mohan Nagar, Reshimbagh, Imamwada, Chandan Nagar, Dighori, Nandanwan, Madhav Nagar, Shailesh Nagar, Rama Nagar and Hanuman Nagar.
