STSF recovers tiger remains killed a year ago

 

 

State Tiger Strike Force (STSF) team got information that a wild animal was hunted in room number 702 of Pandarpani of Behrai range under Barghat forest range of Seoni district. The animal was buried by digging a pit. After this, the team reached Seoni on Tuesday. A year ago, some people had hunted a tiger in Pandarpani area of Behrai range and then buried it by digging a pit. STSF team has received some remains of the tiger here. The same team is interrogating some of the suspects. It also includes some people from Balaghat district by whom hunting incident was carried out. Deputy Conservator of Forests (Wildlife) work.

 

According to information received from Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (VP) Madhya Pradesh Bhopal, four accused have been arrested by joint team of State Tiger Strike Force, Madhya Pradesh, Bhopal and Tiger Strike Force, Jabalpur, in the case of illegal trade of wildlife tiger parts. Total four accused involved in illegal trade and hunting of tiger parts were arrested while doing illegal trade of wild animal tiger’s mustache hair, bones and nails from Forest Division South General Balaghat, Forest Range Katangi. On interrogation, arrested accused accepted their crime.

Tiger is said to be hunted in the forest of Behrai range of Barghat project circle, Seoni by electrocuting it. The recovery of tiger’s skeleton has been done at the instance of the accused.
