FIR against 25 NSUI members for violating Sec 144, damaging assets

Police have registered an FIR against 25 NSUI members for damaging Government assets, creating disturbance in Government works and violation of Section 144 imposed at the Collectorate, during their protest two days back. NSUI members had taken out a protest rally and planned to stage gherao at Collectorate on Thursday. Police first tried to stop them from entering the premises of the Collectorate, but when NSUI members remained adamant to stage gherao, police used cane-charge to disperse the crowd.
 
NSUI workers were protesting against New Education Policy, Patwari Scam, irregularities in the Vyapam examination, Agriculture exam, Junior Engineer Recruitment Exam and other recruitment process in which hefty amounts are being demanded to select the candidates. The rally was taken out under the leadership of State President, Ashutosh Chouksey, former State Vice-president, Saurabh Gautam and District President, Sachin Rajak. On the basis of video footage, photos and other evidences, police registered FIR against 25 NSUI members including State President, Ashutosh Chouksey, District President, Sachin Rajak, Saurabh Gautam, Pinky Mudgal, Devki Patel, Sagar Shukla, Abhishek Patel, Rahul Rajak, Aamaj Quraishi, Ejaj Ansari and others.
 
Police have also registered a case under Section 148, 149, 146, 188, 353, 332, 428 and Section 3 of Public Property Damage Act against more than 300 NSUI workers. Criticising police for resorting to cane-charge against protesting NSUI members, City Congress President and Mayor, Jagat Bahadur Singh and other Congress MLAs demanded for action against the policemen.
