Adequate illumination in BSP Township demanded

 

 

 

BHILAI Municipal Corporation (BMC) corporators pressed demands for adequate illumination in Bhilai Steel Plant (BSP) Township. In this regard a group of the corporators met Dinesh Kumar, General Manager, Township Electrical Engineering Department (TEED), BSP and sought measures for adequate illumination in the township. Shiju Anthony, I/c Revenue Section, BMC informed that with dusk most parts of BSP Township plunged into dark owing to inadequate illumination as many electric poles in the township are with defunct lights. Anthonyalso added that the possibility of mishap is also prevailing in absence of adequate illumination in parts of the city owing to unchecked menace of stray cattle.

 

In the meeting with TEED officials at Town Services Department, BSP, the corporators were apprised that the department’s works is affected after the giraffe vehicle broke down and it is under repair. They have 200 bulbs in stores and they will ensure replacement of the defunct bulbs as soon as giraffe vehicle will be pressed into services. In the meeting BMC corporators also insisted for purchasing of additional giraffe vehicles for meeting out effectively such situation. In the meeting among BMC corporators were Revenue Section I/c Shiju Anthony; Zonal president, Rajesh Choudhary; MiC Member Malti Thakur; Sector-7 Corporator Umesh Sahu; Sector 6 Corporator, Sewan Kumar Sahu; Sector-3 Corporator Suresh Verma; Sector-9 Corporator Komaldas Tandon; Sector-2 Corporator Lomin Sahu and Sadhana Singh and from Sector 1, L Rajeshwari along with other representatives.
