Forest team of Kanha Tiger Reserve nabbed an absconding poacher after 7 months of seizing Pangolin scales from two of his accomplices, on Saturday. The arrested has been identified as Anil Prem Singh, native of Baigatola in Santapur village. It may be noted that on February 22, 2023, forest team had arrested two accused named Rajendra son of Bihari, resident of Kundela village and Rohit Chouhan, son of Gandhi Chouhan, resident of Gudna and retrieved pangolin scales from them near Pandutala RTO Barrier while Anil Prem Singh was absconding since 7-months.
Under the direction of Field Director, Kanha Tiger Reserve, SK Singh, forest teams conducted a rigorous search for the absconding poacher under the supervision of Deputy Director, Punit Goyal and Assistant Director (Malajkhand), Ajay Thakur.
Continuing a thorough search, team received information that Anil Prem Singh was hiding in Odisha and reached at his in-laws house in Tatighat. Acting promptly on the information, forest team started a search and succeeded in apprehending the accused.
