Collector Anurag Verma said that women empowerment ends the difference prevailing in society between males and females. Verma motivated the girls preparing for competitive examinations to excel further. Collector Anurag Verma was speaking during the inauguration of new batch of the girls enrolled for preparations of competitive exams, in the coaching classes arranged by Women and Child Development department under ‘Sahashakshwahini’. On the occasion, Collector Verma inaugurated the new library and planted saplings at the ‘Bitiya Ki Bagiya’ set up at the office campus. The Collector further advised students to study with dedication, concentration.
 
He informed that State Government has launched many schemes which would enable girls to pursue any career choices they make. Neha Choudhary and Bal Kalyan Simity President Radha Mishra also addressed the gathering. Collector Anurag Verma, his wife Neha Choudhary Verma personally gifted set of books of competitive exams and t-shirts to all the students enrolled for the competitive exam classes. District Programme Officer Saurabh Singh informed that under ‘Beti Bachaho-Beti Padao’ this is tenth batch of the girl students. The girls who attended the earlier batches, many of them have been selected in many competitive exams. Many of them have started career in other fields also. The students who are attending batches are from rural areas. This time 400 applications were received and 100 girls were selected on merit basis.
