WCREU stages massive protest for Old Pension Scheme

A large number of West Central Railway Employees Union (WCREU) members staged demonstration at Jabalpur Railway Station raising demand for providing them Old Pension Scheme and warned the Central Government for staging nationwide strike in coming days. Under the leadership of WCREU General Secretary, Mukesh Galav, railway employees simultaneously staged demonstrations in Jabalpur, Bhopal and Kota divisions. In Jabalpur, a large numbers of Employees Union’s members and employees under the leadership of Divisional Secretary, Romesh Mishra conducted match at platforms of Jabalpur Railway Station and raised slogans for fulfilling their demand of Old Pension Scheme.
 
During the demonstration, Jarnail Singh, Prahalad Singh, Sameer Sharma, Rakesh Pandey, Jittu Verma, O P Singh, Kamlesh Somnath, Trilok Niadu and other members were present. Addressing the demonstration, Divisional Secretary, Romesh Mishra said that all the employees are annoyed with the New Pension Scheme due to future uncertainties and raising demand for resuming Old Pension Scheme but the Central Government is yet to pay attention on their demand. He has warned the Government to re-start Old Pension Scheme otherwise they will stage nationwide strike in coming days. Before the strike, they will stage district-level demonstrations on September 21, state-level demonstration and rallies at State capitals in different states on October 21.
