A total of 177 students of Government schools from Jabalpur district who obtained first position in class XII were presented scooty under Mukhya Mantri Scooty Yojana. They received scooty during the district-level programme held at Government Pandit Lajja Shankar Jha School of Excellence (Model) on Wednesday. The programme was attended by Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha), Sumitra Valmik as chief guest while MLA Cantt, Ashok Rohani, District President, Bhartiya Janta Party, Prabhat Sahu, Subhash Tiwari, Ashish Dubey and Abhilash Pandey were also present.
Addressing the students, MP, Valmik and MLA Rohani congratulated the students for receiving scooty presented by Chief Minister, Shivraj Singh Chouhan under Mukhya Mantri Scooty Yojana. On receiving scooty, the students extended their gratitude towards Chief Minister Shivraj ‘Mama’ and said that it will help them to pursue further studies.
 
Under Mukhya Mantri Scooty Yojana, a total of 177 students including 92 girls and 85 boy students received scooty in Jabalpur district. As per their choice, 72 students were given e-Scooty while 105 students received motorized scooty.
An amount of Rs. 1.20 lakh for e-scooty and Rs. 90 thousand for motorized scooty were allotted for each student under the scheme. The students also attended live address of Chief Minister, Shivraj Singh Chouhan who was at Shahdol to attend the State-level celebration. The invited dignitaries inaugurated the programme by lighting traditional lamp. Later on, the students staged attractive cultural programme. Chief Executive Officer, Jila Panchayat, Jayati Singh, District Education Officer, Ghanshyam Soni and other officers from Education Department attended the programme.
