After a three-day mass holiday and demonstration at Bhopal’s Atal Path, a total of 19,000 patwaris of the State have gone on strike in Madhya Pradesh from Monday. On Monday after 11 am, they deposited the bags in the tehsils. Many works related to the public will be stuck due to the strike. Especially seven important works like nomination and caste certificate done by patwaris will not be done. President of Madhya Pradesh Patwaris Sangh Upendra Singh said, Patwaris across the State are depositing their bags in Tehsil offices. After this the pen down strike has started. Bhopal District President Sandeep Sharma told that all the Patwaris of the district are depositing their bags. For almost 25 years, they have been demanding grade-pay and promotion, but till now the government has not even paid attention.
Collectors in the districts of the State including Bhopal have made alternative arrangements to ensure that the work is not affected due to the Patwaris going on strike.
Revenue Inspector has been entrusted with the work of Patwaris. Despite this, the work will be affected, because the revenue inspectors already have a lot of work. Due to the Patwaris going on strike, the work of renaming, EWS certificate, caste certificate, election work, crop girdawari, PM-CM payment and making panchnama at the scene with the police are being affected. Patwaris of Madhya Pradesh are doing phased agitation. In the first phase, from August 21, all had left the government group and boycotted online work. In the second phase, from August 23 to 25, they were on mass leave for three days. Tiranga Yatra was taken out in Bhopal on August 26. After this, they went on a mass strike from August 28.
