PRIYANSHU Parteki, Mugdha Taywade, Samrat Netrao, Navika Motghare won the top positions in the Nagpur District Athletics Association, Khelo India Training Centre of Nagpur University, District Sports Office and Department of Sports and Physical Education of RTM Nagpur University organised Kids Triathlon competition. The event was held on the occasion of National Sports Day. Athletes had to participate in 50m running, shot put and javelin throw events in this competition which was held at Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University ground. Navika Motghare of Success Point secured the top position by scoring 1447 points in the Under-12 girls category. Khushi Gumgaonkar of Mahakal finished second with 1223 points while the third position went to Sonam Pudke of Mahatma Gandhi with 1208 points.
 
In boys category, Samrat Netarao of SOS Hudakeshwar secured the top position by scoring 1374 points. The second place was secured by Bhavesh Avatar of the same school with 1328 points and the third position was claimed by his colleague Avirad Mandhana with 1271 points. In girls Under-14, Mugdha Taywade of SOS scored 1421 points to take top position. The second and third positions went to Aai Foundation’s J Anthony and Mrudula Chandel. Anthony garnered 1411 points and Mrudula scored 1397. Priyanshu Prateki of Saraswati Bhawan bagged the top position in boys category with 2296 points. Bhupendra Markadai and Chandra Gaikwad of Mahakal got the second and third spots. RTMNU Vice-Chancellor Dr Subhash Chaudhari, Dr Sanjay Dudhe, Dr Sharad Suryawanshi distributed the prizes. Archana Kottewar conducted the programme while Ramchandra Wani proposed a vote of thanks. Manoj Pudke, Nishant Deharia, Mohit Gupta, Nilesh Waghmare, System Chanode and others worked hard for the success of the event.
 
Dinanath High School & Jr College
 
The students of Dinanath High school and Junior College celebrated the birthday of themajor Dhyanchand at college premises. Principal Alok Kumar Sinha and P Sarkar guided the students. Dr Ramesh Mondal, PET, organised a football match. Anju Seth, D Ganguly and hockey players of our school were present.
 
Big Ben FC
 
Big Ben Football Club celebrated National Sports Day by organising futsal matches for its club players. All the players participated enthusiastically. Club coaches garlanded the protrait of Major Dhyanchand and informed the budding players about the heroics of Dhyanchand. Coaches Atul Neware, Nayeem Ansari and others were present.
 
CPS Dabha
 
Centre Point School, Amravati Road Bypass, commemorated National Sports Day with an array of events reflecting the theme ‘Unity in Diversity’. Girl students delivered a captivating self-defense demonstration on the main ground.
Inter-house matches across different sports disciplines were also organised. Inter-house swimming competition was also held apart from basketball, lawn tennis and futsal matches. Principal Perveen Cassad, Vice-Principal, Bhakti Bobde lauded congratulated all the students.
 
Aai Sahare Foundation
 
Aai Sahare Foundation celebrated National Sports Day at Reshimbagh ground on Tuesday. On the occasion, Gurudeo Nagare congratulated the footballers who performed well in the recently held Vidarbha-level tournament. Nagesh Sahare, Ravi Tong, Anil Bhore, Nishant Deharia, Rodrick Anthony, Sachin Ramteke, Dheeraj Gajbhiye, Edwin Anthony, Karan Naidu, Ayush Bhagat, Prashik Manerao and others were present during the celebration.
