Superintendent of Police, Tushar Kant Vidyarthi chaired a meeting of officers to improve traffic management and ensuring implementation of traffic safety norms in the district. He has strictly directed the officers for shouldering their responsibility of traffic management and taking stern action against violation of traffic safety norms to check the figure of accidental deaths.
SP, Vidyarthi has instructed the officers for continuing special checking drive and serving challans to two-wheeler riders for not using helmet and car drivers for not using seatbelt. He said that police have all the powers to ensure traffic management for fluent traffic operation. He also declared for honouring the police officer or employee for best duty in traffic management every month with cash rewards.
SP, TK Vidyarthi said that compliance with the order of Madhya Pradesh High Court and Madhya Pradesh Police Headquarters, police should play significant role in checking the graph of accidental deaths. He has also extended appeal towards residents to cooperate the police in traffic management and checking accidental deaths by following traffic safety norms. During the meeting, Additional SP (Traffic/North), Pradeep Shende, DSP (Traffic), Santosh Kumar Shukla and Baijnath Prajapati and other officers were present.
