‘Ladli Bahna Yojana’ is a campaign to transform lives: CM

 

 

 

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that the Mukhyamantri Ladli Bahna Yojana launched in the State is not just a scheme but a campaign to change the lives of sisters. Mukhyamantri Ladli Bahna Yojana, along with providing funds to women, has also boosted their self-confidence and self-esteem. Life cycle cannot go on without a daughter. Keeping this in mind, the Madhya Pradesh government has started ambitious schemes focused on girls and women. One crore 25 lakh sisters are benefitting from this scheme in the state, in whose bank accounts an amount of Rs. 1000 is being deposited on the 10th of every month. In the second phase of the scheme, 21 to 23 year old sisters are being registered. The registration of the sisters who missed out will be done next month. Chief Minister Chouhan was addressing the Ladli Bahna Sammelan at Verwar village of Jatara tehsil of Tikamgarh district. During the Vikas Parv, the Chief Minister dedicated and performed Bhoomi-Pujan of development works worth Rs. 138 crore 8 lakh. Union Minister for Social Justice and Empowerment Dr Virendra Kumar, MLA Harishankar Khatik, Rahul Singh, Dr Shishupal Singh Yadav, former MLA Anita Nayak along with public representatives and thousands of Ladli Bahnas and citizens were present.

 

Chouhan said that he will not let tears come in the eyes of Ladli Bahnas. I will sit peacefully only after bringing a smile on everyone’s face. It is my good fortune that I am the brother of 1.25 crore Ladli Bahnas. Brother thought that money should be given in the accounts of sisters every month, not once in a year. That is why the Ladli Bahna scheme was started. Starting with Rs. 1000, but gradually it will be hiked to Rs. 3000. To empower women financially, the target is to increase their income up to Rs. 10,000 per month. To make them self-reliant, they are being linked with self-help groups, simultaneously works are also being given to the groups. If there is money in the hands of sister, her respect will be boosted in the house and society. Chouhan said that sisters, 10th date is coming again. The amount will be deposited to your accounts again. Your brother will communicate with you again on 28th of this month. Up to 50 per cent participation in local bodies:

 

Chief Minister Chouhan said that Madhya Pradesh is such a state, where participation of women in local bodies has been ensured up to 50 percent. Women are successfully running panchayats and urban bodies in the State. Both the participation and power of women in the society have increased. By bringing a new law in the state, those who abuse daughters are being hanged and the houses of the accused are being demolished with bulldozers. Amount of Mukhyamantri Kisan-Kalyan Yojana has been increased by Rs 2000: Chief Minister Chouhan said that to improve the financial condition of small farmers, an amount of Rs. 6000 is being given in three installments in the Pradhan Mantri Samman Nidhi. Earlier, the state government deposited an amount of Rs. 4000 in the accounts of the farmers on its own behalf, now it has been increased to Rs 6000. Now an amount of Rs 12,000 is being deposited in the accounts of the farmers in the whole year. Ken-Betwa Project: Thanking Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi for the approval of the ambitious Ken-Betwa project of Bundelkhand by the Central Government, the Chief Minister said that now along with Tikamgarh, the area under irrigation will increase in a large area of Bundelkhand and there will be no water shortage. In the previous government, farmers could get agricultural loans at the rate of 15 to 18 percent. Our government has made agriculture loans available to the farmers at zero percent. He said that the previous government had stopped many public welfare schemes, which our government has resumed again.
