In a major breakthrough, Adhartal police seized a truck loaded with illegal stock of 600 crates country liquor amounting to Rs 25 lakh at Karondanala square late night on Monday. SHO of Adhartal police station, Vijay Kumar Vishwakarma informed that late night on Monday, police received information that a mini truck bearing registration number DL-1LM-8711 loaded was transporting illegal stock of liquor towards Adhartal. Acting promptly on the information, police started search of vehicles at Karondanala Square. Continuing the search of vehicles, police stopped the identified Swaraj Mazda truck numbered DL-1LM-8711. Meanwhile, the truck driver managed to escape from the spot taking advantage of the night hours. In the search, police found 600 crates carrying 30,000 quarters of country liquor amounting to Rs 25 lakh loaded on the truck. Police have also found a transport pass in the truck and learnt that the truck was to be passed through Sihora towards Darshini, Paudi, Renujha.
 
Adhartal police have registered a case under Section 34(2) of Excise Act while further investigations are underway to identify the source and supplier of illegal liquor stock and started a rigorous search for the accused truck driver. The illegal liquor consignment was seized with active working of police team comprising Sub Inspector, RS Upadhyay, ASI, Ramsaneh Sharma, ASI, Mohan Tiwari, Head Constable, Mohan Singh Thapa, Constables, Rajesh Kewat, Mahesh Kahar, Indrajeet Yadav, Munish Jat and Manisha Patel.
