Members of Madhya Pradesh Medical Education Employees Association (MEEA) on Tuesday, handed over a memorandum addressing to the Chief Minister, to the Divisional Commissioner for arrears of 27 months. Association’s Convener, Virendra Tiwari informed that the State Government earlier issued order to give 7th pay scale to the employees. The autonomous employees of Medical Education Department received the benefits of 7th pay scale from April 1, 2018 whereas the pay scale was imposed since January 1, 2016 for the regular employees of the same organisation. The autonomous employees which include lab technicians, nursing, clerical, class IV staff and other employees are still deprived of financial benefits i.e. arrears of 27 months.
The Association members continuously demanded for the arrear’s amount. According to Association members, the State Government has declared 7th pay scale since January 1, 2016 for the doctors, hence it must provide its benefits to the Association members associated with Medical College. Those who present while handing over memorandum included Virendra Tiwari, Ajay Kumar Dubey, Raju Mask, Prashant Shrivastava, Vipin Pipre, Ramesh Upadhayay and others.
