‘Industry Meet’ witnesses 426 MoUs between Vidarbha-based companies

The ‘Industry Meet’ held here on Sunday at Guru Nanak Bhawan in the premises of Indira Gandhi Open University campus witnessed signing of 426 memorandum of understanding (MoUs) between 28 leading companies based in Vidarbha region which is expected to create about 1.25 lakh job opportunities. The MoUs were singed in presence of the Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis; Skill, Employment and Entrepreneurship Minister Mangalprabhat Lodha; Additional Chief Secretary of the Department Ashish Kumar Singh; Commissioner Dr Ramaswamy and Deputy Commissioner of Skill Development, Employment and Entrepreneurship Department, Prakash Deshmane, Nagpur District Collector Dr Vipin Itankar, and others.
 
On the occasion, Fadnavis said that the country’s economy is growing at a rapid pace which is creating many job opportunities. “Industries are also in need of skilled manpower to grow further. Events like ‘Industry Meet’ are proving beneficial for the youths and entrepreneurs,” he added. Fadnavis also said that the State government is committed to support skill development. Industry meets are being organised in various areas of the state including. So far, agreements have been signed with more than 700 entrepreneurs through this medium.
