School Education and Sports Department of Maharashtra Government, on Friday, announced the Krantijyoti Savitrimai Phule State Teacher Award for the 2022-23 to four teachers from Nagpur district -- Dipti Bisht, Dr Jyotimani Rocque, Vijaya Kokamwar, and Mahendra Sonewane. The State Teacher Awards have been declared to 108 teachers from across the State in various categories. These include 37 from Primary Schools, 39 from Secondary Schools, 19 from among primary teachers working in tribal areas, eight division-wise awards, one each for special teacher in Arts and Sports, Divyang teacher/teacher in school for Divyang children, and one each for Scouts and Guides. The award ceremony will be held on September 5 -- Teacher’s Day -- in Mumbai. Among eight division-wise award-winners are Dipti Chandansingh Bisht, Assistant Teacher at Surendragarh Hindi Secondar School of Nagpur Municipal Corporation, from Nagpur Division; and Anjali Bhavanishankar Deo, Headmistress of Manibai Gujarati High School and Junior College, Ambapeth, from Amravati Division.
 
The 11 award-winners in Secondary Schools category, one from each district of Vidarbha are as follows: Nagpur -- Dr Jyotimani Rocque, Assistant Teacher, Dinanath High School and Junior College, Nagpur; Bhandara -- Yuvraj Khobragade, Assistant Teacher, ZP High School and Junior College, Palandur; Gondia -- Mahendra Sonewane, Assistant Teacher, Shahid Janya Timya ZP High School and Junior College, Goregaon; Chandrapur -- Smita Chitade, Headmistress, Mahatma Gandhi Vidyalaya, Gadchandur; Gadchiroli -- Jayshree Khonde, Assistant Teacher, Dharmarao Krushi Vidyalaya Tatha Kanishtha Mahavidyalaya, Aheri; Wardha -- Ganesh Maske, Assistant Teacher, Arts Commerce Junior College, Arvi; Amravati -- Atul Padole, Assistant Teacher, Janata Girls’ High School, Shendurjana Ghat; Akola -- Babloo Tayde, Assistant Teacher, Jai Bajrang Secondary and Higher Secondary School, Kumbhari; Washim -- Dr Santosh Pethe, Headmaster, Yashwantrao Chavan Secondary and Higher Secondary School, Kajlaba; Buldhana -- Suvarna Kulkarni, Assistant Teacher, Adarsh Vidyalaya, Chikhali; and Yavatmal -- Sainath Chandapure, Assistant Teacher, Shri Gurudeo Goroba Vidya Mandir, Umarkhed.
 
The district-wise award-winning Assistant Teachers from Vidarbha in Primary Schools category include Nagpur -- Vijaya Kokamwar, ZP Primary School, Belori; Bhandara -- Khushal Dongarwar, Panchsheel Primary School, Pimpalgaon Kohali; Gondia -- Parmanand Rahangdale, ZP Upper Primary School, Satona; Chandrapur -- Santosh Nannawar, Lok Vidyalaya, Talodhi; Gadchiroli -- Sujay Bachhad, ZP Primary School, Ganesh Nagar, Mulchera; Amravati -- Ankush Gawande, ZP Pre-Secondary School, Dabha; Akola -- Umesh Sarale, ZP Primary School, Gunjwada; Washim -- Santosh Pattebahadur, ZP Upper Primary School, Kurala; Buldhana -- Suresh Utpure, ZP Marathi Upper Primary School, Ghini; and Yavatmal -- Sandeep Kolhe, ZP Primary School, Sukali. Seven teachers from Vidarbha have won the award in tribal areas category. They include two from Gadchiroli district. The award-winning Assistant Teachers in this category are as follows: Nagpur -- Mahendra Sonewane, ZP Upper Primaruy School, Chichala; Gondia -- Suresh Kashyap, ZP Central Model Senior Primary School, Dawki; Chandrapur -- Sanjay Yerne, ZP Upper Primary School, Navegaon Hundeshwari; Gadchiroli -- Ashok Borkute, ZP Upper Primary School, Mohurli, and Dilip Nakade, ZP Primary School at Jaitanpar; Amravati -- Jitendra Rathi, ZP Upper Primary School at Jaitadehi; and Yavatmal -- Deepak Padole, ZP Pre-Primary School, Ghonsi.
