LAD are basketball champs

 

 

LAD Junior College won the District Sports Office organised Under-19 girls basketball championship dethroning defending champs Dr Ambedkar College on Wednesday. LAD recorded a comfortable 31-22 win with the quarter-wise scores reading 05-05, 10-09, 09-02 07-06. For the winners, Devika Thakre, Manjiri Padhye and Mitali Kolhe excelled by scoring 9 points each while Ambedkar’s Mihira Dhote scored 13 points. The team gave outstanding performance under the guidance of coach Arvind Garud and sports department’s Anuradha Nathile and N Waghmare Sonkamble. Management and staff congratulated the team for its splendid performance.
