Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, inaugurated the Nitika Pharma’s Microcrystalline Cellulose (MCC) unit in Butibori recently in a glittering ceremony. Ajay Sancheti, former Member of Parliament; Ravleen Singh Khurana, Managing Director of Nitika Pharma; Virendra Kukreja, former Chairman of Standing Committee of Nagpur Municipal Corporation, and other dignitaries, also graced the occasion. With the inauguration of this unit, Nitika Pharma celebrated a significant milestone. For, its MCC unit is India’s largest MCC manufacturing plant. The ceremony was graced by the presence of more than a thousand guests from around the world.
Inauguration of the said unit sets Nitika Pharma as one of the top excipient companies on the world map, stated a press release. The company has kicked off long-term capex cycle of five years and is expecting to create over 750 jobs with investment of Rs 125 crore under PLI. Gadkari praised the company for its remarkable achievement as the only excipient manufacturing company to receive Production Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme from the Government of India.
