CONTINUING their dominant performance, St Ursula girls once again emerged champions of the District Sports Office organised inter-school football championship. The Under-14 girls defeated Centre Point School, Wardhaman Nagar 4-2 via tie-breaker to claim the crown. In the shoot-out, Shital Mohanda, Mahi Yadav, Anushka Thamke and Tanushri Paikara scored for St Ursula while for CPS, Savira Khurdand and Diva Rochwani scored. In the U-14 girls hard-line final, St Joseph’s Convent beat Mount Carmel 4-3 in tie-breaker. Savita Anthony, Kritika Bansod, Rachael Joseph and Angela Francis scored for Convent while for Mount Carmel, Ayesha Bukanam, Anushka Tekade and Tamanna Parekh scored goals.
 
In the U-17 semis, St Joseph’s beat Mount Carmel 2-1 via tie-breaker. Sarah Francis and Ananya Deogirkar were the scorers for St Joseph’s while for Mount Carmel, only Mayuri Puri managed to convert her chance. In the other semis, CPS, Dabha beat St Ursula 4-2 via shoot-out. Ishani Ghoshal, Lavanya Kharabe, Prince Singh and Aadhya Diwedi scored for CPS while Khushi Dadmal and Akshara Sarve scored for St Ursula. In the Under-17 boys category, St Francis de Sales beat Shri Guru Harkrishan School 3-0. Bilal Qureshi (10th), Divansh Raut (17th) and Abdul Khan (30th) were the goal getters for SFS. In U-19 girls semis, St Ursula beat VMV College 1-0 through Anjali Veladi’s 25th minute strike. In the other semis, CPS, Katol Road beat BVM Civil Lines 2-0 with Manasvi Madan (14th) and Anushka Kolhe (28th) recording their names on scoresheet.
