EKTA Sporting edged past Hilltop in the opening encounter of the Dr Nitin Raut Trophy Football Tournament which got under way at Indora ground the other day. The tournament is organised by North Nagpur Youth Congress and Unity Football Club. In the opening match, Ekta beat Hill Top 5-3 via penalty shoot out.

 

Dikshant Pendam (9th) had put Hilltop ahead but Rohit Mir drew parity in the 13th minute of play to take match into tie-breaker. In the shoot-out, Shahrukh, Rohit, Raqueeb and Shahzad scored for Ekta while for Hilltop Patel and Dikshant scored the goals. Earlier, the tounament was organised by Bhante Bhadant Araya Nagarjun Surai Sasai. On the occasion, Nilesh Khobragade, NDFA Secretary Stanley Gregory, Satyan Kottulwar, Chetan Tarare were also present. The final will be played on October 9.
