IRA International Under-17 girls continued their winning run in the District Sports Office organised hockey event as they emerged Divisional Champions on Thursday. In the divisional-level Nehru Tournament meet organised at St Mary’s School, Ayappa Nagar, Ira International, representing Nagpur, edged out Sarvoday Kanya Vidyalaya, Sindewahi, Chandrapur 2-1 via tie-breaker. Purva Dhandare and Anchal Saini were the goal getters for Ira International while Dimple Randive scored for Sindewahi.

 

Earlier in the semi-final, Ira thrashed St Vincent Pallotti School by five goals. Atulya PS scored a hat-trick while Samiksha Yedne scored two goals in their thumping win. The team has qualified for State level meet which will be held later in the month. Ira International is coached by Shahid Bux.
