Like Nagpur city, the heavy rains lashed Koradi and Ramtek taluka on Saturday. Due to heavy rains, the flood like situation has been formed in Kolar river as it was flowing above the danger level. MahaGenco opened four out of 11 gates of the dam on Kolar river on Saturday morning. Due to opening of gates, the agriculture lands in Ghogali village got submerged under water which caused crop loss. Officials of MahaGenco, Sarpanch of the village and other officials visited the spot and conducted panchanama.

 

Similarly, the Khindsi Lake also overflowed on Saturday due to heavy rains. The overflow of the lake took place from spillway situated at Panchala village. Due to overflow of the lake, some areas of Ramtek city witnessed water logging which raised concern for the administration.
