Intermittent rain activity throughout the day, heavy rains pounded several parts of State capital especially suburbs and its adjacent regions so many places brought down the temperature as state heaved a sigh of relief from humidity on Saturday. In five hours a record 8 inches of rain received in Khirkiya in Harda district. Many houses were filled with water. The roads, houses were flooded, blockage of drains due to heavy rains people suffered a lot. Bhopal received heavy rain in the early mornings hours then its intermittently falling. the level of Upper Lake is full, 2 gates of Bhadbhada Dam were opened. Narmadapuram also received heavy rain in the afternoon. Bhopal recorded maximum temperature 28 degrees Celsius while minimum temperature recorded 23 degrees. According to Meteorological officials of IMD, two rain systems are active in the state. The system will weaken in the next 24 hours that the cyclonic circulation system is currently active. The monsoon trough line is passing through the northern parts of the state via Jaisalmer and Shivpuri. Another trough line is passing through East Madhya Pradesh. Due to this, it rained in many districts of the state in the last 24 hours.

These include Sehore, Narmadapuram, Harda, Burhanpur, Khandwa, Dindori, Khargone, Barwani, Alirajpur, Ratlam, Dewas, Narsinghpur, Chhindwara, Seoni and Mandla districts. There may be heavy rain in Betul. After this the rain activities will start decreasing. In 24 hours, heavy and light rain fell in 10 districts including Betul, Chhatarpur and Shivpuri. Many rivers and streams came into spate. Showers will continue for the next two days. After this the activity will decrease. There will be light rain till the last week of September.
 
Till Thursday, a total of 7 districts of the State– Bhopal, Guna, Ashoknagar, Damoh, Satna, Rewa and Sidhi were included in the red zone. There was 23% to 38% less rainfall here. About 3 inches of rain fell in Bhopal during the night. About two inches of rain fell on Friday also. With this, Bhopal district has come out of the red zone. The system will weaken in the next 24 hours, but the monsoon trough line will continue to pass. There may be moderate to heavy rain in the southern part of MP.
