ATHLETES of Mahatma Gandhi English Medium High School (MGEMHS) dominated the Hingna Taluka athletics competition organised by District Sports Office. The competition was held at Wanadongri Sports Complex and Mankapur Sports Complex. Varsha Shahakar, Mayor of Wanadongri Municipal Council; Satish Shahakar, former Sarpanch and Balu More were guests. Nitin Tupekar, Principal of Devkibai Bang Vidyalaya, Devidas Lambat, was also present. Spikers of Mahatma Gandhi English Medium High School and Junior College, Wanadongri presented their best performance and won the U-14 boys and girls Under-17 volleyball titles. In athletics event held at Mankapur, Gaurav Surkar won gold in discus throw in Under-19 age group and Adarsh Dahake finished second. In long distance run, Himanshu Chauhan finished second and Gaurav Surkar third.

 

The other medal winners are Gaurav Surkar, Himanshu Bohre, Kashish Bhagat, Rigved Lohkare, Vishal Patil, Ashish Meshram, Aryan Bunkar, Aditi Bidwaik, Kashish Bhagat, Nainish Kamble. All the students practice under the guidance of school sports teachers Ramchandra Wani, Shubham Chaudhary, Sapna Kokate to whom they attribute their success. School Principal Dharmendra Parshivnikar, Supervisor Dipali Kothe, school teachers Preeti Dhamgaye, Priya Dakhle, Kalpana Hivarale, Madhavi Wandhe, Ramchandra Wani, Mangala Kathane, Shraddha Iratwar, Ruchi Pandey, Deepika Natake, Savita Patil, Moreen Francis, Shubham Chaudhary, Suraj Krishnan, Dilesh Pachore, Reshakiran Athawale, Manju Wairagade, Anita Chaudhary, Najuka Maiskar, Leena Nagapure, Sandhya Chawre, Madhuri Tajne, Somendra Gautam, Shalini Sahare, Umesh Lonare, Shweta Thakur, Sonali Sakharkar, Gatha Moon, Jyoti Jena, Mayuri Kokate, Prithviraj Zade, Sujata Meshram, Jyoti Padmase, Sapna Kokate, Rupali Shirke, Tanvi Kolte, Ghanshyam Yadav, Shashikant Mule, Prashant Neware congratulated the athletes and wished them luck.
