State’s maiden Autocross Motor Sports was organised in a grand manner under the auspices of Vehicle Factory Jabalpur, on Saturday. The event was organised in association with Madhya Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation. Chief guest on the occasion was Collector Saurabh Kumar Suman (IAS) while Armoured Vehicles Nigam Limited (AVNL), CMD, Sanjay Dwivedi (IOFS) presided over the programme. Special guests on the occasion were Rashmi Dwivedi, President, Women’s Welfare Organisation, AVNL, Awadi, Chennai, Sanjeev Kumar Bhola, CGM, VFJ and Rachna Bhola, President, WWO, VFJ and K L Patel, Regional Manager, MP Tourism Development Corporation were specially present. Guests flagged-off the Autocross Motor Sports and wished the participants success.

 

More than 70 participants from different areas of Madhya Pradesh and other states enthusiastically participated in the Autocross Motor Sport and expressed their happiness over organisation of such event for the first time in Central India. Speaking on the occasion, Collector Suman appreciated the efforts of senior officers of AVNL Group and Vehicle Factory Jabalpur for taking a unique initiative for promotion of motor sports in the State as it will prove a new tourism attraction.

 

The event will also introduce a new sport event amongst residents and adventure enthusiasts. AVNL, CMD, Sanjay Dwivedi also congratulated VFJ management for successful organisation of the event and emphasised on continuing the event every year for desired results. On the occasion, VFJ, CGM, Sanjeev Kumar Bhola expressed his gratitude towards guests and senior officer for their valuable support in making the event a grand success and assured for continuing organisation of same event in a grand manner every year.
