ABVP members protest against irregularities in GMHHSSCW campus, submit 9-point memo

 

 

 

 

In protest of various irregularities prevailing in the Government Mohanlal Hargovinddas Home Science and Science College for Women (GMHHSSCW) campus, the student members of Akhil Bhartiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) staged protest in front of Principal’s office and handed over a 9-point memorandum on Tuesday.

 

In memorandum, ABVP members raised the issues of hostel building in dilapidated condition, strengthening of security at the entrance of UG hostel outside which youth and anti-social elements daily assemble till late evening, renovation of toilets in the college building, unavailability of sanitary napkins at the wielding machine installed at the campus, sub-standard quality of food served to the hostellers and monthly counseling facility for students in the college.

 

The students, being the members of ABVP which is a non-political students’ organisation, also expressed strong objection over involvement of college students in political events and activities by the college administration, availability of rest room for students in need and regular health check-up for the hostellers at hostels. The ABVP members also warned to stage aggressive protest if their demands are not fulfilled soon. Those present include Students’ head, Vasundhara Singh, Vibhag Kshatra Pramukh, Aarya Raje Singh, City Joint Secretary, Janvi Panjwani, Mohi Gupta, Kritika Pillai, Sakshi Bagri, Shivani Upadhayay and other students.
