Scores of candidates selected in MP Patwari recruitment exams from across the State, gathered at Neelam Park on Sunday to stage protest against ban on their appointment. The selected candidates from across the State had gathered to mark their protest. They were demanding their appointment. However, police took away selected Patwaris sitting on dharna in Neelam Park in their vehicle. A video of this has gone viral on social media, in which policemen are seen kicking and punching agitating youths in order to disperse them. Police say that the selected Patwaris had not taken permission for the protest. They have been shifted to another place to maintain law and order. No arrest has been made. They had reached Bhopal in large numbers on Sunday. Their main demand is to give joining. At present it is not known where they have been taken.
Selected candidates said that like Sub-Inspector and Teacher Eligibility Test 2020, appointment process should be run parallel along with the investigation. If anyone is found guilty, action should be taken against them by identifying them. In their place, candidates who got place in the waiting list should be given appointment. Affidavit should be taken from all newly appointed candidates. There should be a provision of consent to face punitive action if found guilty. He said that according to point 13(3) of the rule book of Group 2, Sub Group 4 and Patwari Recruitment Examination, the recruitment process should be completed in the month of September, considering the provision of giving appointment within a period of 90 days from publication of the result. Leader of Opposition Dr Govind Singh has written a letter to Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan. He has demanded to give appointment to candidate of Patwari Recruitment Examination soon. Govind Singh wrote that in the State in September 2023, about 8,600 candidates selected in Group-2 Sub Group-4 Patwari Recruitment Examination of the selected candidates are waiting for appointment. The appointment process has been banned by you in the selection test.
It was said to submit the report by August 31, 2023. But due to non-receipt of reports till August 31, all the hardworking selected students are under a lot of stress due to non-appointment process. Appointment process stopped a few days after announcing result: Result of MP Patwari recruitment exam was declared on June 30 and joining has to be given by August 15. Meanwhile, this process was stopped due to doubt about some candidates. Due to which about 8,600 selected candidates from across the State are waiting for their appointment. But the investigation report has not come yet. Due to which appointments are not being done.
