AS MANY as 358 athletes enrolled themselves on the first day for the selection trials of the Khelo India Training Centre at Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University and showed an enthusiastic response to the trials. The athletes will get an opportunity to train at the Khelo India Centre. Selection will be done for athletics, badminton, basketball and handball.

 

On the first day, players in the age group of 10 to 18 years showed great interest and participated in the drills. On the first day fitness test of the athletes was conducted. Athletes were tested for shuttle run, 30m fly, medicine ball throw, height and weight. Ashfaq Khaledi, senior handball coach of Aurangabad, SAI Kendra, and Ashish Banerjee, senior handball coach, were present on the first day. The skills of these players will be verified on Thursday.
