St JOHN’S High School , Mohan Nagar clinched the Under-15 inter-school hockey title, the other day. The tournament was organised by the District Sports Office at St Mary’s School ground. In the final, St John’s defeated Madan Gopal High School 3-1 in a shoot-out after both the teams were locked at 1-1 at the end of regulation time.

In the match, captain Sumit Ranasingh put St John’s ahead scoring a field goal in the 13th minute of play. Madan Gopal levelled the score through Nitesh Gupta who converted a penalty corner. In the shoot-out, Tahami, Shreyas and Vedant scored for St John’s while for Madan Gopal, only Gupta managed to find the back of the net.
