The Union Ministry of Coal has recently honoured the city-based public sector undertaking Western Coalfields Limited (WCL) with the ‘Swachhata Pakhwada award for the year 2023’. The award was presented to Manoj Kumar, Chairman and Managing Director of WCL, by Amrit Lal Meena, Secretary, Ministry of Coal, Government of India, at a special function held at Ministry of Coal, New Delhi on Wednesday.

 

On this occasion, Kumar was accompanied by the Director (Technical & Personnel) of WCL J P Dwivedi was also present. CMD Manoj Kumar congratulated all the personnel while giving credit for this achievement to ‘Team WCL’.

The award is given by the Ministry of Coal on the basis of the set criteria, which includes the initiative taken to increase awareness about the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan in the public mind, etc.
