The Chhattisgarh Cabinet, in its latest decision, has introduced the Shri Ramlala Darshan (Ayodhya Dham) Yojana, aiming to enable residents of the State to have darshan of Shri Ramlala in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh. The announcement was made by Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao during a media briefing at Mantralaya, Nava Raipur in Atal Nagar following the Cabinet meeting. Under the umbrella of the Modi Ki Guarantee, the BJP-led Government fulfilled yet another promise by initiating the Shri Ramlala Darshan Scheme, ensuring the pilgrimage to the consecrated Shri Ram Mandir set to take place in Ayodhya on January 22. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Government in Chhattisgarh has announced to take the people of the State to Ayodhya to have darshan of Shri Ramlala. In compliance of its promise, Shri Ramlala Darshan Scheme is being started. The scheme will be implemented by Chhattisgarh Tourism Board and the budget will be provided by the Chhattisgarh Tourism Department. Under this scheme, every year about 20 thousand pilgrims will be taken on a journey for Shri Ramlala Darshan. Residents of Chhattisgarh, who ages are between 18 and 75 years, are entitled to get benefit for the scheme.
 
The people will be allowed to travel for Ramlala Darshan after the health examination by the District Medical Board. For disabled people, as far as possible, one member of their family will be allowed to accompany them. In the first phase, this facility will be available to people above 55 years of age. After this, this facility will be given to people of other age groups also. Shri Ramlala Darshan Committee will be constituted in every district under the chairmanship of the Collector. Beneficiaries will be selected by each committee according to proportionate quota. The distance of this pilgrimage will be approximately 900 kilometres. Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) will be signed between by Chhattisgarh Tourism Board and Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC). Under the MoU, the IRCTC will make arrangements for security, health, food, sightseeing, local transport and escort to the passengers during the journey. Arrangements for bringing the beneficiaries from their residence to the designated railway station and back will be made by the concerned District Collector.
 
Budget will be made available to them for this. A competent government official or a small team will be sent with the passengers from each district. Pilgrims will leave for their destination by train from Durg-Raipur, Raigarh and Ambikapur. The original destination of the Yatra will be Ayodhya Dham. Along with this, pilgrims will also be able to get the benefit of one day night stay in Varanasi and they will have darshan of Kashi Vishwanath Temple and corridor and Ganga Aarti. At present, the IRCTC will provide one train every week for implementation of the scheme. In future, the number of passengers can be increased as per the availability of the train, said the Deputy Chief Minister
