Jabalpur’s journey towards urban cleanliness has taken a giant leap and the city has much to celebrate. In the highly-anticipated Swachh Survekshan Abhiyan 2023, Jabalpur has secured a phenomenal 13th position across the country, a remarkable climb from its previous ranking. The Mayor and Municipal Commissioner have credited the citizens of Jabalpur for this remarkable achievement, expressing gratitude and acknowledging their contribution. They said with due cooperation of the citizens, further improvements and better rankings can be achieved in the Swachh Survekshan Abhiyan. For the first time, Jabalpur, under the category of a population of over 10 million, has secured the 13th position nationwide. In comparison to last year’s 82nd position among cities with a population exceeding one million, Jabalpur has now secured the 22nd position.

 

They said such a significant achievement for the Jabalpur Municipal Corporation would not have been possible without the positive cooperation of the citizens. Expressing gratitude to the Jabalpurians, they urged them to continue providing positive support to the JMC administration’s on-going campaigns. They said the initiation of micro-planning for ongoing efforts to enhance cleanliness in the city would lead to further improvements in ranking. They also expressed confidence that Jabalpur would achieve a better ranking in the Swachh Survekshan, aiming for a 5-star rating.
