Cold wave blowing from northern parts of country has brought down the temperature drastically across Madhya Pradesh. Over ten cities in State recorded minimum temperature below ten degrees Celsius and Khajuraho remained the coldest city with minimum temperature 5 degrees Celsius. People in Gwalior, Chambal region and Bhopal are shivering with the cold conditions. On Wednesday morning, dense fog was recorded in Tikamgarh, Khajuraho, Mandla, Satna, Sidhi and nearby areas. Visibility remained restricted from 50 meters to 200 meters. Remaining cities saw a hazy weather on Wednesday.
 
Weather scientists said that western disturbance is active in northern parts of country and after its effect get reduced, cold waves would be blowing in MP and after January 20, nights would be colder. Severe cold condition would be bothering people in state. IMD said, freezing winds is affecting the weather in Gwalior, Chhatarpur, Datia, Bhind, Sidhi, Rewa and nearby cities. On Tuesday, Wednesday, temperature declined in these cities.
 
Minimum temperature in Bhopal was recorded as 11 degrees Celsius, Indore 12.4 degrees Celsius, Gwalior 6.5 degrees Celsius, Jabalpur 10.4 degrees Celsius, Ujjain 11.5 degrees Celsius. Khajuraho recorded minimum temperature 5.0 degrees Celsius, Datia 5.5 degrees Celsius, Naugaon 5.8 degrees Celsius, Tikamgarh 7 degrees Celsius, Rewa 7.2 degrees Celsius, Pachmarhi 7.6 degrees Celsius, Damoh 8.2 degrees Celsius, Sagar 8.5 degrees Celsius, Satna 8.6 degrees Celsius, Sidhi 9 degree Celsius, Rajgarh 9 degrees Celsius, Umaria 9.3 degrees Celsius, Guna 9.4 degrees Celsius and Raisen 9.6 degrees.
