The Ayodhya Nagar police have booked a woman for allegedly blackmailing a police inspector in Bhopal. The woman has been accused of honey-trapping the inspector and extorting Rs 5 lakh from him and further demanding Rs 50 lakh. She would run a dhaba in Ayodhya Nagar area and he would visit her, said the police. The cop was once posted in the same police station when he had come into her contact, said police. On the other hand, for about a-year-and-a quarter, the accused woman has been running from pillar to post to lodge an FIR for rape against the inspector. The shocking thing is that the Ayodhya Nagar Police Station was active in getting the girl to reach an agreement with the inspector.

In October 2022, the woman lodged a complaint with the police and with senior officers stating that she lives separately from her husband. The 36-year-old woman (name withheld) told that when Rajkumar Kunsaria (41) was posted as Sub-Inspector in Ayodhya Nagar Police Station, they met. During the conversation, both of them turned out to be childhood friends. She alleged that Rajkumar entered into relation with her and they even were in a live-in relationship for some time. In the complaint, she has also mentioned about Kunsaria’s police officer sister as how she used to put pressure on her. She lodged a complaint in 2019 but Kunsaria convinced her to withdraw the complaint and had given Rs 5 lakh to her, said police. However, she was demanding Rs 50 lakh from him after which he lodged a complaint with the Crime Branch. Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Akshay Chaudhary said that Kunsaria told that the accused woman was blackmailing him by threatening to implicate him in a false case. Evidence of transferring the money was given by Kunsaria after which the Crime Branch gave the report to Ayodhya Nagar Police. On the basis of which FIR was registered against the woman on Wednesday night.

The woman mentioned in her complaint that Rajkumar kept her in a live-in relationship and had promised her that he would marry her after divorcing his wife. Later, he was transferred to police training school (PTS) in Hoshangabad.
It was further written in the victim’s complaint that Rajkumar had been telling her about tying knot but he stopped talking to her after the transfer. When she went to meet him there, Rajkumar and his driver allegedly exploited her. When she reached Ayodhya Nagar police station in October 2022 again to lodge a report, the police did not register the woman’s FIR. She then lodged complaint with senior officials in the incident. Now, she has been booked for extortion.
