The snowfall in northern parts of country is affecting weather conditions in Madhya Pradesh. Colder winds are becoming reason for cold day in various cities of State. Khajuraho and Gwalior cities are in grip of intense cold wave for past two days as day temperature declined below 15 degrees Celsius. On Friday, State capital Bhopal shivered with severe cold. Weather Department said that wind coming from north is at a high velocity and for next two to three days, temperature will be dipping. There is cold day alert for various cities. There are also prediction for light rainfall in some areas. Especially in Gwalior and Chambal region, rainfall is expected. It was dense to medium fog in parts of state on Friday.
 
Khajuraho remained the coldest city with maximum temperature 13.5 degrees Celsius and Gwalior recorded maximum temperature as 14.7 degrees Celsius. Naugaon, Tikamgarh, Satna and Sidhi recorded maximum temperature below 20 degrees Celsius. Drizzling was recorded in Balaghat, Malajkhand area on Friday. Maximum temperature in Bhopal was recorded as 24.3 degrees Celsius, Indore 24.5 degrees Celsius, Jabalpur 22.2 degrees Celsius, Ujjain 25.2 degrees Celsius. Highest maximum temperature was recorded as 28.8 degrees Celsius in Khargone and Ratlam, Khandwa saw maximum temperature as 26 degrees Celsius. Light to medium fog was seen in Singrauli, Ratlam, Guna and Ashok Nagar and visibility was restricted from 200 to 800 meters. Medium to dense for recorded in Sagar, Chambal, Sidhi, Rewa, Mauganj, Shivpuri, Gwalior and Datia districts where visibility remained from 50 meters to 500 meters.
