Highest 30 ‘eye operations’ in a single day performed at Durg distt hospital

 

 

 

 

 

 

In District Hospital Durg, highest 30 eye operations were performed by Dr Sangeeta Bhatia and Dr Kalpana Jeff in a single day, in which 27 cataract operations and 3 other eye operations were performed by the doctors and team. All the patients whose eye operations were performed are completely healthy. Dr Arun Kumar Sahu Civil Surgeon-cum-Chief Hospital Superintendent has congratulated the doctors and employees of the Department of Eye for the above successful operations.

 

On the other hand patients are being benefited from the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of District Hospital Durg. In this series patient Yamini Nishad age 19, was brought to the district hospital Durg from Hi-Tek Hospital in a completely unconscious state. In view of the seriousness of the case, the patient was immediately admitted to the ICU. During the examination of the patient, blood stain was found in the veins of the brain. Dr Anil Sinha ICU Incharge said that it is called CVST.

 

Another patient Dukalu Ram, age 72, came to the Emergency Department for treatment due to shortness of breath, on examination it was found that his lungs were filled with water and was immediately treated by doctors in the ICU. After the condition of both the patients was improved, they have been successfully discharged from the hospital. In view of the successful operations and treatment the faith and confidence of patients in the district hospital is increasing
