SP hands over 151 lost mobile phones to respective owners at Control Room

Superintendent of Police, Aditya Pratap Singh (IPS) handed over returned total 151 lost mobile handsets amounting to Rs. 21 lakhs to owners at police control room, on Tuesday. Besides this, investigating the cyber fraud cases, Jabalpur police have returned the amount of Rs 56.53 lakhs to the owners during year 2023. It may be mentioned that during the year 2023, Jabalpur police had returned total 504 lost mobile handsets amounting to Rs 72.25 lakh to their owners.
Cyber Cell Jabalpur is also organizing cyber awareness workshops in regular intervals for creating public awareness about cyber crime. Till now, cyber awareness workshops were organised in 32 institutions including schools and colleges and students were educated about necessary safety measures to avert the threat of cyber crime.
 
It may be noted that SP, Aditya Pratap Singh took a serious note on increasing pendency of applications for taking back their lost mobile handsets under the supervision of Additional SP (Crime), Summer Verma and Cyber Cell, in-charge, Sub-Inspector, Neeraj Singh Negi for returning the recovered handsets to their owners. Acting promptly on the directions, Cyber Cell personnel collected information of lost mobile handsets through a special team comprised of Cyber Cell’s Amit Patel, Constables, Raja Ajitay Mishra, Durgesh Dubey, Saurabh Shukla, Navneet Charawarty, Abhishek Mishra, Bhagwan Singh, Abhidip Bhattacharya, Krishna Chandra Tiwari, Deepak Mishra, Arvind Suryavanshi, Manoj Choudhary, Jitendra, Anil Singh and Ajay Singh.
