Kuno National Park has welcomed three cubs delivered by cheetah Asha on Wednesday. The park officials has claimed that all the three cubs are healthy. Field staff and veterinary doctors are observing the cubs and mother. District Forest Officer (DFO) Thirukural R has said that there are four cheetah cubs in Sheopur and all are healthy. Cheetah Asha was brought from Namibia and named by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has also tweeted on Wednesday the news of three cubs in Sheopur is something very delighted.
 
The park officials are claiming that delivery of three new cubs is taking the project towards success. At present Kuno National Park has 14 adult and 4 cubs cheetahs. The adult cheetah includes 7 male Gaurav, Vayu, Agni, Pawan, Prabhas and Pawak while seven female includes Asha, Gamini, Nabha, Dheera, Jwala, Neerava and Veera. Currently, only two cheetahs are free into wild and tourist can watch the two cheetahs. Remaining all 12 adult cheetahs are in the enclosure. Cheetah steering committee had earlier released four cheetah into wild during December 2023 but two were kept into enclosure after crossing the border.
