With the aim of bringing significant improvements to the cleanliness arrangements and introducing administrative reforms, newly appointed Municipal Commissioner, Preeti Yadav conducted inspection of a number of wards, on Thursday. The Municipal Commissioner inspected wards under division no. 6, Damohnaka, 7, Adhartal, and 14, Vijay Nagar, in the morning and assessed the sanitation arrangements. During inspection she expressed great displeasure over the arrangements and issued notices to four responsible officials from division 6 and 14. While issuing the notices, Commissioner Yadav directed that no negligence would be tolerated in sanitation work.
She instructed all senior officials and chief sanitation inspectors to conduct visits to wards and ensure transparency in all activities, along with maintaining cleanliness standards. Notices were issued to the officials and chief sanitation inspectors of wards 6 and 14, namely Satyendra Chakravarti, Sudip Patil, Ravinder Singh and Harsha Patil, instructing them to provide clarification within three days. If satisfactory responses are not received for the reasons mentioned in the notices, disciplinary action will be taken against all responsible officials.
Commissioner Yadav also visited the Control and Command Center in Damohnaka and sought information of live status of door-to-door garbage collection vehicles. She asked concerned officials for an on-time report and immediate corrective actions to enhance their performance. The Municipal Commissioner stressed the importance of maintaining cleanliness and efficiency in the city's sanitation arrangements for a strict approach towards accountability and improvement.
