Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai on Sunday inaugurated the Satnami Youth Introduction Meeting organised by Satnami Utthan and Jagriti Samiti. The event commenced with Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai offering prayers to Baba Guru Ghasidas and lighting the ceremonial lamp. Addressing the gathering, CM Sai underscored the societal benefits of such events, praising Guru Baldas Saheb for setting a noteworthy example by getting his son’s marriage solemnised in a mass marriage ceremony. He emphasised marriage’s sacred and spiritual nature in Indian culture, highlighting its enduring significance over seven lifetimes. Drawing a comparison with the Western countries, CM Sai said that while marriage is often viewed as a contractual arrangement in the West, it is considered a sacred sacrament in India.

 

He commended mass marriages for their potential to save significant expenses. CM Sai extended his blessings and best wishes to all the young men and women attending the introduction meeting, expressing hope for their bright and successful future. Responding to the Satnami community’s request for land in Nava Raipur for social activities, CM Sai assured that the State Government would provide necessary support for the community’s development. He pledged to consider the demand for land for social activities in Nava Raipur.
