Union Minister of Civil Aviation and Steel Jyotiraditya Madhavrao Scindia will formally inaugurate the AAR Indamer Technics MRO facility located at MIHAN SEZ, Nagpur on January 12. Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari will be the chief guest of the inaugural function while former Union Minister for Civil Aviation Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises Praful Patel will also attend the event. The inaugural function will be held at 10.30 am. AAR Indamer is a joint venture between AAR, a major MRO of USA and Indamer, the oldest MRO in the country. A state-of-the-art facility of the joint venture is located in the MIHAN SEZ.
 
This inauguration comes on the heels of another significant development in Nagpur’s MRO landscape. Just recently, Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis launched an Indamer-Airbus Helicopters MRO facility at MIHAN. This partnership aims to provide cutting-edge after market services for helicopters in India, marking a major step forward in the development of the country's rotary-wing MRO ecosystem. Airbus Helicopters and Indamer have joined hands to provide cutting edge after-market services for helicopters in India, in a significant boost to the development of the rotary-wing Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) ecosystem in the country. Indamer is providing MRO services for Airbus helicopters at its facilities in Mumbai, New Delhi and Nagpur.
 
Airbus Helicopters’ collaboration with Indamer is the latest in Airbus’ expanding industrial footprint in India, which seeks to put in place the building blocks for a mature, comprehensive aerospace ecosystem in the country. Today, every Airbus commercial aircraft and helicopter has critical technologies and parts designed, made and maintained in India.
These developments position MIHAN SEZ as a major MRO hub and contribute to the growth of a robust and self-sufficient aerospace ecosystem in the country.
