Innerwheel District 326 Chairman Sandhya Rani Mishra, accompanied by District Secretary Rekha Jain and members of the Innerwheel Club of Raipur, visited Arpan Divyang School to support the children and promote environmental awareness.
During the visit, the team distributed essential items to the school children and cloth bags to the teachers to encourage the use of eco-friendly alternatives to plastic. They also planted trees on the school premises to contribute to a greener environment. A drawing competition was organised to promote creativity among the students, and the winners were awarded prizes.
In the evening, District Chairman Sandhya Rani Mishra and ESO Manjusha Vaishampayan were welcomed by President Samta Agarwal and Secretary Preeti Joshi on behalf of the club at Rotary Maitri Bhawan, Jalvihar Colony. Sandhya addressing the members, provided insights into the Innerwheel Club and encouraged them to actively participate in district activities.
The club’s bulletin, ‘Antarchakra’, was also launched. Two new members, Sushma Agarwal and Neeta Shah, were inducted into the club.
Malti Chandak, a former President of the club, shared the club’s history which came into existence on the contribution of PDC Maya Surjan. The Innerwheel Club of Raipur celebrated its 50th anniversary and entered its 51st year. The District Chairman presented one year’s fees to a school girl and gifted umbrellas to two vegetable vendors.
The event was conducted by former Presidents Jyoti Ahuja and Papinder Chawla, who expressed gratitude to all participants. Several other club members, including former President Archana Gupta, Sandhya Sahu, Vinay Anand, Deepali Amin, Ruchita Rathore, Swati Tapdiya, Ritu Gupta, Sudha Joshi and club members Sunita Agarwal, Pramila Kela, Nirmal Agarwal, Renu Manuja, Neeta Shah, Sushma Agarwal, Daljeet Gagan, Seema Sakkar and Supriya Agarwal, informed, Preeti Joshi, Secretary Inner Wheel Club of Raipur.
